SPEAKING OF “ROLE MODELS”…

So, you think that Transgender women don’t aspire to ‘greatness’ - huh?! Well…meet Attorney (…that’s RIGHT!)…Dana DeAndra Turner who is a highly respected legal professional and very busy Trans-community Advocate, who currently resides in Manhattan, NY.
WIth an enviable roster of awards and honors - much too numerous to mention here - my good friend has championed the causes of Transgender rights and social justice for more than 30 years.
Dana has crusaded for the betterment of Trans people (especially Trans women of color), through her work at Conscious Contact and the Sylvia Rivera Law Project…both, in New York. However, she has been recognized for her work on both the East and West Coasts.
Attorney Turner too, serves as the ebodiment of a "true" role model to many minority women regardless of the societal stigmas and negativisms. (She’s my sistah…!)
