Purpose

The Alameda County Transgender Steering Committee is a community-specific public entity, designed to provide a forum for the discussion of issues and concerns focusing on the TransGender residents of Alameda County California.

Goal

Once specific issues and concerns have been identified, the TransGender Steering Committee will seek appropriate venues, resources, individuals and/or organizations to assist in developing recommendations for reasonable alternatives and/or resolutions.

Objective

The Alameda County TransGender Steering Committee intends to obtain Federal nonprofit 501(c)(3) status in 2006.
