Purpose
- The Alameda County Transgender Steering Committee is a community-specific public entity, designed to provide a forum for the discussion of issues and concerns focusing on the TransGender residents of Alameda County California.

Goal
- Once specific issues and concerns have been identified, the TransGender Steering Committee will seek appropriate venues, resources, individuals and/or organizations to assist in developing recommendations for reasonable alternatives and/or resolutions.

Objective
- The Alameda County TransGender Steering Committee intends to obtain Federal nonprofit 501(c)(3) status in 2006.
